Pension Arosa - Barcelona

I really appreciate that owner of the property was up in the middle of the night at 1.30am when I came because my flight was delayed. The fridge in the room is also very usefull. The pension is right in the middle of the centre, just few steps from barri gotic but still in safe area.

Single room felt converted from a bathroom!!! Shared 'bathroom' was a shower not enclosed!!! Cleaning of shared facilities left much to be desired!!! Thin walls caused constant noise disturbance!!! Kettle in room lacked cups for beverage preparation!!!

The man in charge, Lucho, was pleasant and always availalbe. The rooms were very old but he was always cleaning. It is located right off of Plaza Catalunya and you can walk to everything downtown. It was my first esperience in a pension/hostal and I was surprised at how much privacy I had here. The rooms are quite small and ther is no a/c so it was hot at night.Free wi-fi! Easy to get to from airport take Aerobus, brings you right down the block. Metro also is right down the block. My kids really enjoyed it and it definitely is a better place for teens/young adults rather thatn older people.

The walls of the room I stayed in could be painted in some warm colour.

The location is fantastic, just a 5-minute walk from La Rambla and Plaza de Catalunya! My room even had a lovely balcony where I could sip my morning coffee. The staff were accommodating, letting me check in early and store my luggage after checkout.

Although a bit bare the room was extremely clean and the beds comfortable, the shared bathroom/toilet was also very clean. The owner was very friendly and the Pension has an excellent location - right in the heart of Barcelona.

Pension Arosa offers a clean, cozy room with a fridge and a helpful staff member who provided excellent local tips. The perfect escape in a bustling location!

Great location, awesome price and the owner is a really nice and helpful guy. Kept the place clean at all times and he was really flexible. Perfect for a city trip.

There are shared bathrooms, 2 toilets and 1 shower. But never had to wait to do my thing, there is a chance that you could be unlucky once or twice - but for this price and location you should absolutely take the gamble.

Perfect accommodation with awesome setting right by La Rambla n Plaza Catalunya, Ramble and La Boqueria and public transport. What a very-very nice stuff! Tidy and cosy room with balcony. Good customer care, parking outside.

The room was small with no air conditioning, made our stay tough.

The manager was extremely friendly and accommodated us when we asked to leave our luggage for the entire afternoon. We appreciated having a refrigerator in the room and the free wifi. Bathroom was clean and tidy. Location was central and therefore convenient to transportation and some sites.

When we arrived at around 2 pm, we rang the bell multiple times but nobody answered so we had no choice but to cart our heavy suitcases around for an hour until someone was available. The triple room we reserved was clean but the decor was old and unattractive and somewhat depressing. The room had one window overlooking a tiny dark courtyard where a bucket and mop were stored so there was no natural light and no ability to get fresh air. Also, there was a lot of noise from other apartments in the building which made it difficult to sleep if window was left open. Beds were fairly comfortable but the towels provided were like sandpaper. Location was convenient but on a very busy street - we had to weave our way through the street crowd just to get to the front door. Most importantly, the Booked.net site showed this room as having a private shower and shared bathroom - when we arrived we were told there was no private shower, only a sink in our room. This may be mistakenly listed on the part of Booked.net or the hotel - either way it needs to be corrected so as not to mislead other travelers!
